Last Friday, 7 Van Hool AG280T's were transported from Ghent, Belgium, to Rotterdam. After another 8 trolleys have arrived, all 15 will be send to Plovdiv by train, I guess that will be somewhere next week. Some pictures are attached. Unfortunately the other 8 trolleys were a bit in a hurry. They are already in Holland now. I hope to catch the train with the 15 trolleybuses and send some pictures of this train....you will know in a few days...

Why are these trolleys so ugly? How old are they?

I don't think they look ugly or bad! Personally I like the design. The technical condition is more important.
It's good, that the vehicle are double-articulated.

Тhey're only single-articulated! Van Holl still doesn't have double-articulated t-buses. Such vehicules produces only Hess-Swizerland.

Today all 15 trolleys were on their way towards Bulgaria. I could just catch them near Emmerich, at the Dutch/German border.

The buses were ex-De Lijn, Ghent: 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 09, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.

It seemed that one trolleypole has cut loose and now first they have to investigate before they can go further towards Bulgaria...

How many times does it take for finding trolleypole and investigating? In Plovdiv there are so many trolleybuses, which are not in use so I think that they can put one trolleypole from one of unuse trolleybuses. ;)Is this a problem or we have to find another way to solve the problem?

Losing a pole is an accident and as such it must be investigated.In western Europe,unlike Bulgaria,people actually investigate problems.

In UK (and most probably many other EU regions) there is a specific group (Rail Accident Investigation Branch) that deal with any train/tram issues and must publish a report when such happens to prevent further similar problems.
